Frank Miner.
Orrin Franklin Miner was born in Wisconsin March 14, 1857, and died at his home on Vernon Prairie Dec. 3, 1907, aged 50 years, 8 months and 18 days. He had been ill for several months, at times suffering greatly.
May 29, 1887, he married Miss Olive S. Walter at the home of the bride near Vernon, Iowa, who still survives him. No children were born to them. Two nieces, Mrs. Etta Minor and Louisa Kimmel made their home with them many years, and Miss Minor is still living with the sorrowing wife at the old home near Ward school house.
The deceased also left three brothers and two sisters as follows: – Georgia Miner, Ida Monroe, and Naomi Cooper of Kansas, Nahum Minor of Joplin, Missouri, and Charles Minor of Mt. Sterling.
Funeral services were held at Story Chapel Wednesday conducted by Rev. George Blagg interment in the Thompson Cemetery. Mr. Minor was a member of the M. E. Church.
He lived several years ago on the farm now owned by George Woods two miles west of Bonaparte, some five years ago, went west a short time and returned to the farm near Ward school house.
Mrs. Minor wishes to thank the friends who have been so kind to her during her bereavement, and who sympathy has been of great help to her.
