D. C. McELROY
Mr. David McElroy was born March 26, 1852, at Salem, Henry county, Iowa, and died at his late home in Milton, Iowa, March 25, 1929, at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 28 days.
In 1872 he was married to Miss Serena Burlingame. To this union five children were born, all of whom are living: H. B. McElroy, of Burlington; Ed of Roseville, Ill.; Don, of Richard, Mo.; Mrs. John Humbert of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Mrs. G. L. Hill, of Kansas City, Mo.; beside 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Elroy [sic] has lived in Milton the past 43 years and had many friends here.
At the age of 37 years he united with the M. E. church at Round Grove under the ministry of Rev. St. Clair.
Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday at 2 p. m. Interment in Milton Sunnyside cemetery.
