DROPPED DEAD
W. R. Johnson, an old and well known resident of Keosauqua, while working on Harry Davis' barn two miles southwest of this place, dropped dead last Monday afternoon at 4:30. Geo. Long and Wm. Parson were also working on the building at the same time with Mr. Johnson when suddenly with a groan he fell forward, and when his fellow workmen reached him he was dead. He fell on his face with his hands under him, and never moved a hand or foot after he fell.
The deceased was born at Newark, Ohio, July 13, 1831, and died Oct. 21, 1907. The funeral was held at his home in Keosauqua Wednesday.
