STEVE A. SAYRE
Steve A. Sayre, 57, of rural Keosauqua died on June 8, 2014, at his home. He was born October 15, 1956, in Keosauqua to David and Marjorie Crowe Sayre and married Nancy Ridgeway. They divorced.
Steve graduated from Van Buren Community High School, was a farmer, self-employed electrician and worked at Golden Furrow Fertilizer in Keosauqua. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and gathering with friends.
Surviving are three daughters, Trina Sayre of Keosauqua, Tonya Flynn (Chris) of Birmingham and Traci Doak (Phil) of Clive, eight grandchildren, his father and a sister, Rita Tedrow of Keosauqua. His mother preceded him in death.
His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday June 12, 2014, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Kevin Mote, minister, officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the former bath house in Lacey-Keosauqua State Park following the interment. Memorials to the local chapter of Serve Outdoors may be left at the funeral home, at the reception or mailed to the family at 12895 Hickory Ave., Birmingham, IA 52535. "10-4 from Steve Farewell"
