Miss Elizabeth Cline was born in Hancock county, Ill., Feb. 15, 1837, and died at Bonaparte, Iowa, Monday, Dec. 20, 1909, aged 72 years, 10 months, and 5 days.
In 1867 she married Mr. J. A. Brown in Clark county, Mo. They lived in Clark county two years. From Mo., they came to Van Buren county, Iowa, where they lived until her death. They first lived on a farm four miles north of Bonaparte but for many years have been residents of this town.
To them were born four children as follows: - Mrs. Ella Cassiday of Farmington; Mrs. Mary A. Miller, deceased; Oscar E. of Keosauqua; and Elmer who died in infancy.
She was a member of the Baptist church at Bonaparte. She had been ill for several weeks prior to her death. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church, Rev. Druse officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the White cemetery.
