Charles A. Monroe was born in Keosauqua (Van Buren) Ia. August 1, 1899. He died at age 83 on March 8, 1983 in Salina, Ks. He was a retired railroad engineer. Services held at 10am on March 11, 1983 at Geisendorf Funeral Home at 2 pm. White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita, Ks.
Survivors: wife, Grace; sons, Robert of Miami, Fla., George of Centralia, Wash.
