Lodema Bradbury

Lodema Bradbury, 83, of Coal Valley, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at Oak Glen Home in Coal Valley.

A graveside service and burial of cremains will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Iowaville Cemetery near Selma, with the Rev. David Albert officiating.

Memorials to Oak Glen Home or Beacon of Hope Hospice may be mailed to Mrs. Bradbury's granddaughter, Kelly Blankenship, at 3086 48th Ave., Eldon 52554. Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bradbury was born Feb. 21, 1917, in Parnell, Mo.

She lived in Carlisle and Des Moines until entering the care center in 1988.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, Benton Blankenship of Eldon; three granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Marion Prather of Miami, Fla., and Raymond Prather of Toluca, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Hubert and Lawrence Prather.
