Aged Virginia Tp. Woman Dies

Pneumonia caused the death of Mrs. Emily Thayer, aged 87, at the home of her son, Daniel Thayer, Virginia tp. Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.

Her maiden name was Miss Emily Norris and she was born on September 14, 1838 in Virginia tp. where her entire life had been spent.

On November 7, 1878 she was united in marriage to Thomas Thayer, who preceded her to the grave on June 19, 1908. Mrs. Thayer belonged to the Milfork Baptist church and was an active church worker.

There are surviving one son, Daniel, of the late home and one brother, Henry Norris, of Willow Brook.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the late home in charge of Rev. J.O. Phillips. Burial will be made in the Cox cemetery.
