She was united in marriage to John B. Willits on November 19, 1885, and to this union was born three children, Albert A. of Farmington, Noah J., Fort Madison and Mrs. Edna Weaver of Kahoka, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. Willits started their married life on a farm five miles out of Bonaparte with high idealism creating a lovely haven for their family and a hospitable retreat for their family and friends. Years of devotion and honest living enriched their lives and inspired their children with the grandeur of home consecrted(sic) by parental devotion. After the children left home, Mr. and Mrs. Willits retired in 1917 to a home in Farmington, Iowa, where they lived peacefully, reaping the rewards of a fruitful life, going hand in hand in their declining years, until God called Mr. Willits to his Eternal Home, Sept. 16, 1939.

Mrs. Willits was a true mother, wife, friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services were held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Nazarene church with Rev. Faye Marriott officiating and Rev. J. S. Ellis assisting. Burial in Thompson cemetery.

Passing out of the shadow,
Into pure light
Stepping behind the curtain
Getting a clearer sight.
Laying aside the burden
This weary mortal coil
Tired of earthly play things.
Heartsick and ready to sleep,
Ready to bid our friends farewell
Wondering why they weep
Passing out of the shadows
Into eternal day
Why do they call it dying,
The sweet going away.
