Carrie Eliza Day was born September 11, 1874, near Utica, Iowa, and died February 15, 1899, aged 24 years, 5 months and 4 days. She was married September 11, 1898 to John F. Louis, who survives her. She was the daughter of A. H. and Annie Day, and leaves, in addition to the bereaved husband, to mourn her loss, father and mother, one sister and four brothers. The funeral occurred from her late home near Utica Friday, February 17, 1899, conducted by Rev. Dickinson, of Hillsboro, and interment followed at the Bentonsport cemetery.
