Hugh Poe was our life-long friend, spending our boyhood days in the same community. The Poe farm, that of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Poe was just west of the Uncle Jake Miller farm west of Anson. Hugh was a good, honest man and an upright citizen. One by one the friends of our boyhood days are passing away and we are left to trod the wine-press alone. (The Editor).
