DEATHS
MRS. MINNIE SMITH.

Mrs. Minnie Smith, 59, wife of Walter L. Smith, died at her home, 414 East Finely avenue, today at 1:30 a.m.

She was the daughter of Norman and Ellen Richardson and was born in Davis county March 15, 1880. She had been resident of Ottumwa for the last 27 years.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Moughler of Ottumwa and Mrs. La Veva Treanor of Lansing, Mich.; a son Vernon R. Smith of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren; four brothers, Lyman and Ernest Richardson of Ottumwa, Clifford Richardson of Caldwell, Idaho, and Elmer Sample of Coalstrip, Mont.; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Billups of Caldwell, Ohio; a half sister, Merwin Chadwick of Owatonna, Minn., and two half brothers, Ellsworth Richardson of Floris and Pearl of Lebanon, Kan.

Services will be held in the home, 414 East Finley avenue, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles A. Albin. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.

The body will be at Johnson’s funeral chapel until Sunday at 10 a.m.
