Grover Rohdy

Grover H. Rohdy, 64, of Donnellson died at the Graham hospital in Keokuk Sunday evening after two weeks illness. A farmer by occupation, Rohdy was also in the insurance and seed business.

Born Nov. 10, 1892, northeast of Farmington, he had been a lifelong resident of Lee county. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed church in Primrose.

He was married to Hazel Grimm at Fort Madison, June 24, 1914. She survives along with four sons, Dale and Robert of Farmington; Charles, Donnellson; Donald, Ottumwa; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hennies and Mrs. Helen Hennies, both of Donnellson; Mrs. Jean Grossman and Mrs. Betty Judy of Farmington; three brothers, Jacob and Lewis of Farmington and Peter of Fairfield; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Schau, Donnellson; and Mrs. Mary Boyer, Farmington; and Mrs. Ida DeRosear of Ft. Madison; and eighteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Funeral services for Grover F. Rohdy will be held Thursday afternoon with a prayer service for relatives at the Miller Funeral Home at 2:00 and public services at Zion Evangelical-Reformed church in Primrose at 2:30.

The Rev. Gene Kuehl will officiate and burial will be in E-R cemetery.
