ADDIE A. HAMILTON

Addie Aleva Hamilton, a long time resident of Mt. Sterling, passed away May 7, 1949, at the hospital in Fairfield. She had been hospitalized for several weeks.

She was born at Pittsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lanam, and was united in marriage to Robert Franklin Hamilton on October 8, 1900. to this union were born seven children.

She leaves to mourn her death six children, August Hamilton, at home, Mrs. Opal Brown, Coolridge, Ariz., Mrs. Garnet Stiles, Mt. Pleasant, Robert Hamilton, Donnellson, Mrs. Gwendolyn Robertson, Sedalia, Mo. and Mrs. Nelda Mitchell of Quincy, Ill., 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Cless Lanam of Fairfield, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Bert Joy of Ottumwa, Iowa; a number of nieces and nephews.

Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death.

She will always be remembered by her many friends for her kindness and helpfulness in the care of the sick in the community.
