Relatives of Ottumwans Drown

Mrs. C. C. McClure, 322 North Weller Street, has received word of the death by drowning of a nephew and niece in Rivera, Calif.

Victims of the tragedy were Mr. and Mrs. William Roberts of Rivera. Mrs. Roberts is reported to have drowned after falling from a motorboat. He was drowned in an attempt to save her.

Mr. Roberts was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roberts of Paonia, Colo., the latter being a sister of the Ottumwa woman and a former resident of Van Buren county. Also surviv9ing is the grandmother, Mrs. Flora A. Thomas, who makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. McClure. The tragedy occurred July 21.
