Mrs. Work Dies At 84

Mrs. Fred Work, 84, 909 Fairview Place, died this morning at 8:35 at Jefferson County Hospital. She had been ill the last two months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Behner Funeral Home with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham.

Kathryn Work was born Jan. 4, 1893 in Van Buren County, the daughter of George and Lydia Donald Jameson. On Sept. 28, 1916 she married Fred Work. They have lived in Jefferson County for over 61 years, 55 yeas in Liberty township where they engaged in farming. The last six years they have been living in Fairfield.

Mrs. Work is survived by her husband; a brother, Donald Jamison of Fairfield, four sisters, Chloe Jameson and Mrs. Fern Woodrow, bothof Fairfield, Estella Roth of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Harold Woodrow of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
