**Handwritten: 346 C KeosMrs. John Miller, 87, life-long resident of Iowa, died Tuesday night, August 12, at her home in Ottumwa. Funeral services were held Friday at the late home.
She was a daughter of Andrew and Mary McCullough and was born December 16, 1854, near Douds. She married the late John Miller October 1, 1874.
Her early life was spent on a farm near Douds. She and her family moved to Ottumwa in 1901.
Surviving are two daughter, Mrs. D.T. Rambo of Ottumwa and Mrs. J.A. Ferguson of Rose Hill; three grandchildren, Mrs. L.H. Prewitt of Ottumwa, James E. Ferguson of Davenport and Mrs. Virgil Bass of Sigourney; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Liming, Mrs. Lusetta Rambo and Mrs. Vina Finney of Ottumwa and Mrs. Bertha Wainscott of Douds; one brother, J.E. McCullough of Geneseo, Ill., also four great great grandchildren and one stepson. Mr. Miller died in 1922.
She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church

For many years she was an active member of the sewing committee of the Ottumwa hospital and the Bay View club.Funeral services will be held at the home 407 East Fourth street Friday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Charles Russell Prewitt of Maplewood, N.J. will be in charge.
The body will be at the Lester Jay funeral home until Thursday evening when it will be taken to the home.
