Lou Ella Topping Dies at Birmingham

Surviving Are Son, 2 Daughters, Grandchildren; Funeral Held Tuesday; Burial at Winchester
Mrs. Lou Ella Topping died at her home at Birmingham at 6:45 o'clock Sunday evening following a heart attack. She was 73 years old and had been ill about two weeks.
She was the daughter of the late and Mr. and Mrs. John Workman and was born near Mt. Zion. In 1889 she and Hugh A. Topping were united in marriage. To this union four children were born, Craige, who died in infacy(sp), Paul, Mrs. June Johnston, all of Birmingham. Mrs. Topping also is survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Topping died several years ago.
Funeral services were held at the Birmingham Presbyterian church at ? o'clock Tuesday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. H.C. Irvine. Singers at the final rites were Merrel Countryman, Floyd Williams, John Wilson and Lester McKee, with Mrs. Lee Dustin as pianist. Burial was at the Winchester cemetery.
