THE LIFE STORY
OFMRS. ELSIE RIGSBY
Mrs. Elsie Harriett Cummings Rigsby, daughter of William and Alice Cummings was born Nov. 21, 1884 on a farm near Bonaparte, Ia., and passed away Aug. 29, 1959 at the Van Buren County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient for two days.
Most of her life was spent around Bonaparte. On April 10, 1917 she was united in marriage with Fred Rigsby and moved to Keosauqua where she made her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband march 17, 1952 and by her parents and one brother, Arthur. She is survived by one brother, John of Stuart, Ia.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Parsons, a step-grandson, Fred Parsons, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She joined the Christian church and was a faithful member as long as her health permitted.
