Mr. Wilson Hootman, well known about Mt. Zion, son of Wm. and Margaret Hootman, died suddenly at Willow, Cal., Oct. 26, as the result of an accident. About a week before Mr. Hootman's death his team ran away and threw him out of his vehicle and injured him so badly he never recovered. However he did not take his bed until the day before his death.

Mr. Hootman left Van Buren county in 1890. For the past 12 years he had resided at Willows. His age was 59 years, 1 month and 21 days. Three brothers and two sisters are left to mourn his loss. He was buried at Willows.

Along in the '80s Mr. Hootman erect the tile factory north of Mt. Zion and was well known in the central part of the county. All who knew him will regret to hear of his death.--Democrat
