ANNA MARY PLOWMAN
**Handwritten: 1924Anna Mary Plowman, daughter of Daniel and Matilda Shaffer, was born June 22, 1848, in Jefferson county Iowa and passed away Oct. 1, 1924, aged 76 years, 3 months and 5 days.
She was united in marriage to Thomas Plowman Nov. 29, 1865, and to this union was born four sons and three daughters: Emory of Keosaugua(sp): Luther of Kilbourne; Harley of Birmingham; Frank of Douds; Mrs. Charles Claflin and Mrs. Clay Mathias of Douds, and Leona, who died in infancy.
Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her death five grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters, and neighbors and friends.
In early life she united with the Brethren church of which she was always a faithful member. She was a loving mother, a kind wife and a neighbor to all.
Funeral services were held at the home soutn of Leando Friday, (Sept.:err) Oct. 5th at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Charles L. Ellis of Blakesburg and burial was in the Leando cemetery.
