Floyd Sidwell rites at Douds

DOUDS - Floyd Sidwell, 84, Douds, died at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Leando Cemetery near Douds. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorials to Alzheimer's Disease Research may be left at the funeral home.

Sidwell was born March 7, 1903 in Putnam County, Mo., the son of M.E. and Sarah Frazee Sidwell. He attended Troy High School and farmed near Troy until retiring to Douds in 1979. He married Leona Evans Dec. 10, 1929 at Douds. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Kenneth of Fairfield; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and a brother, Ed of Ottumwa. An infant son, two sisters and six brothers preceded him in death.
