Davis rites set

STOCKPORT - K. Annette Davis, 51, Stockport, who died at 10:20 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson County Hospital, had been in failing health for some time and hospitalized since Nov. 24.

She was born Dec. 11, 1936 at Stockport, the daughter of Fenton F. and Gladys Morris McKee, and lived most of her life in the Stockport community. A beauty operator, she had a beauty shop in Birmingham for 11 years. She married Kenneth Davis Nov. 14, 1954 at the Bethesda Church east of Fairfield. They owned and operated Davis Lakes Concessions at Lacey-Keosauqua, Wapello-Drakesville, Keomah-Oskaloosa, Lake Darling-Brighton, and Pleasant Creek Recreation Area at Palo during the summer months. She had been a custodian for the Van Buren School District since January, 1980. She was a member of Stockport United Mehtodist(sp) Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Kenton, and a daughter, Kathryn Davis, both of Stockport; four grandchildren and a sister, Darleen Watson of Stockport. Her parents preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stockport United Methodist Church with the Rev. Shirley Rosendaal and the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery at Stockport. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham. Memorials have been established to Stockport United Methodist Church Building Fund and the Stockport Park Recreation Fund.
