OBITUARIES.
**Handwritten: 1904

Henry Harwood, aged 43 years, 11 months and 25 days, died March 25, 1904, at Pern, Kansas, after a sickness of six days with pnuemonia. He was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, and passed most all his life here and only recently went to Kansas. He was unmarried, was a quiet, industrious citizen and respected by the many who knew him. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Harwood, lived a good portion of their lives in Washington township, where they died a number of years ago. He has two brothers living in California, one, Attorney J.W. Harwood, living in Keosauqua, and a sister Mrs. J.W. Kisling of Washington township. The funeral was held Monday of this week at the Miller Chapel, conducted by Rev. Ward of Mt. Zion, the burial being in the cemetery at that place.
