OBITUARY

Janette Watts, daughter of Isaac and Mary Watts, was born Oct 23, 1856, and passed away at her home in Bonaparte, April 9, 1912, aged 55 years, 5 months 18 days. She were united in marriage with James F. Boyer Jan. 1. 1874. To this union was born two daughters, Mrs. Nora E. Cummings and Miss Mollie Boyer, both of Bonaparte.

The fall of 1876 she with her husband and eldest daughter moved near Pella, Iowa, where Miss Mollie was born. After three years they came back to their old home in the country, where they lived until her health began to fail and about fifteen years ago moved to Bonaparte where she spent the remaining years of her life.

In January 1898 she united with the M.C. church, Rev. A.E. Thornley being pastor at that time.

She was an earnest and devoted Christian, the Bible, being her greatest comfort. Although a great sufferer for years, she never complained and thought all was for the best.

Those left to mourn their loss are her husband, two daughters, one grand-son, Byron Cummings, three sisters: Mrs. Agnes Stirling, of Farmington; Mrs. Mary Shipley, and Mrs. Ella Miller, of Bonaparte.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church in Bonaparte on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and was in charge of her pastor, Rev. J.H. Taylor. The body was laid to rest in Bonaparte cemetery.
