KEOSAUQUA WOMAN DIES IN PORTLAND
Mrs. Monroe Beer, an old and highly respected resident of Keosauqua, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Swires of Portland, Ore., Tuesday, April 30, aged about 65 years. Mrs. Beer has been in poor health for some years.
Some years ago they moved to Portland, Ore., and after a stay of a year returned to their old home in Keosauqua, but her health rapidly declined and she thought she would be better in the west, and as a last resort they returned to Portland about three weeks ago. She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband and two children, Mrs. George Swires and Tobe Beer, of this place, two grandchildren, Elma and Stanley Swires and other relatives and a host of friends whose sympathy goes out to the bereaved husband. She was a member of the M.E. church of Keosauqua. Interment will be made at Portland.
