Kincaide Van Zant, who has lived here since 1865, died at his home on 4th St. Feb. 10. he was born and raised in Penn., where he enlisted in the army. He was married in 1867 to Mrs. Tillie Roberts who with 3 sons, Ellis, Harper, and William and one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Beer, survive him. he was a quiet, unassuming man without an enemy. He had been a sufferer with asthma for a number of years. The funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. J.W. Carson Sunday at 2:30 P.M.
