MRS. HARRY WORDEN.
From the Knierim (Iowa) Record.
Miss Bell Davis was born 28 years ago in February. She was married to H.E. Worden 9 years ago on Nov. 15. Mr. and Mrs. Worden came to Knierim three years ago where they resided up to her death on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1905. Perhaps one of the saddest deaths that has ever occurred in Knierim was that of Mrs. H.E. Worden. She took sick Wednesday forenoon about 10 o'clock, and about 8:30 in the evening passed away. The immediate cause of her death is not known but it was a sort of heart trouble. Mrs. Worden was loved by all those who knew her.
She was patient in time of the most trying burdens that she bore. She was a just mother, devoting her life to make her children happy and comfortable. There are very few homes in Knierim that Mrs. Worden has not extended her sympathy and aid in times of sickness. She seemed most happy when she was doing for others.
No woman will be more missed, both in the family and in the community at large. She has left a vacant place in a home that no other woman on this earth can fill. Two little children, a boy 7 years old, and a girl 8 years, and a husband, a father, two sisters and three brothers are left to mourn their loss. Thus departed one who lived for others, her presence was self evidence of the earnest, christian life she lived. many hearts are sad as they think of this good mother and devoted wife leaving this earth so suddenly, it seemed that if ever a woman was needed it was Mrs. Worden. Sympathy from the entire community will be extended to the bereaved ones. Funeral services at Knierim by Rev. Millan, burial at Eagle Grove, Dec. 23.
