GUY STARR.

Guy Starr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Starr, was born in Clinton county, Ohio, January 5, 1877, and died at the home of his siter, Mrs. J.K. Matheson, one mile southeast of Keosauqua, Iowa, July 9, 1906, of lung trouble. As the paper stated last week, everybody loved Guy. he was a favorite wherever he was known. He was kind to everyone, and so thoughtful and considerate for the comfort and welfare of others. His was a noble life, he has gone, but his many good deeds and kind words remain with us.

It was God's will, not ours, that he should be taken son soon. He suffered several months but bore it patiently. Funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. Coats, of the Christian church of Washington, Iowa, a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attending, after which his body was laid to rest in the Fellows' cemetery.

The subject of this sketch came to Iowa with his parents, brothers and sisters when six years of age. He lived most of his young life on a farm near Keosauqua. He spent four years in California after he grew to manhood, where his older brother Chas. resides. Besides Chas., who still lives in California, he leaves his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Starr and brothers Bert, Jim and Neal, also sisters Mrs. Louie Matheson, Mrs. Blanch Roberts, Mrs. Pearl Brewster, all of near Keosauqua, and Mrs. Jewel Shepherd of Cooperstown, North Dakota, also a half brother and sister B.A. Starr, of Wyaconda, Mo., Mrs. Mary Douglas, of Kahoka, Mo.
