Mary Bonney Stidger, eldest daughter of the late Captain Josiah H. Bonney and wife, was born in this county December 4th, 1844. She died Oct. 21, 1904, in the house where her parents resided during a great part of their married life, while visiting her aged mother who still lives in Keosauqua. She was married to William C. Stidger in Keosauqua on the 20th day of November, 1866, who died in 1880 in Red Oak. At her death she left two sons and two daughters to mourn her departure of the most gentle, modest, tender and motherly of good women.
