Ernest S. Roush was born April 1st, 1879. He departed this life Dec. 26, 1904. His entire life had been spent in the country near Lebanon, in Van Buren county. He was united in marriage to Addie Humphrey, Nov. 21, 1900. This union was blessed by two girls, Dora and Hazel, 1 year and 3 years, respectively. These little ones and the devoted wife are left to mourn the loss of father and husband. He is survived by four brothers, three sisters, and two half brothers. The practical care and heart sympthy which the neighbors so constantly displayed, attest their esteem for the deceased and his family. He loved his wife and children as only a true man can, and his only regret was that he must leave them. When a young man of 18 he converted and united with the Lebanon Presbyterian church. During the ten months of his severe bodily suffering he was sustained and comforted by his faith and hope in Christ. He was cheerful in adversity, "patient in tribulation." The funeral was conducted by Rev. N.P. Olney, the interment being in the Lebanon cemetery.
