A. Bell, Deceased.

A. Bell died at his home in Col. June 6, 1903, and was buried June 11 in the cemetery at that place. He was seventy-six years of age and his death was caused by heart trouble.

He was born in Scotland and came to Farmington when he was about 19 years of age. He married Miss. Jane Christian of Vernon and for many years they lived in Vernon. To them were born nine children, four sons and five daughters, all of whom are living.

He was a stone Mason and much of his work is left in Van Buren county, a monument to his memory.
