William D. Tuttle, aged 84 years, died at Campbell in Santa Clara Valley, California, and was buried in Watsonville, that state, Tuesday, May 3, 1904, by the side of his wife whose maiden names was Sarah Roush. Both formerly lived in this county. Old settlers will remember Mr. Tuttle, his home being on the south side of the Des Moines river, west of Vernon, until he moved to California. He was a brother of Owen Tuttle, who also lived on the old homestead until he went west, and like his brother was held in high esteem by all his acquaintances.
