Mr. and Mrs. James P. Fiedler, 501 E. Madison, were in Des Moines Saturday to attend funeral services for Staff Sergeant Richard L. Watson. He was killed in a jeep accident in Mannheim, Germany on March 23.
His wife is the former Betty Fiedler of Selma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Fiedler of Selma.
Watson had served 12 years with the U.S. Army. He is also survived by a son, Richard.
