Ethel Mae Holm

Ethel Mae Holm, 106, a resident of Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua died at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at the center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Morelock officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. A memorial has been established to the Knight Templar Foundation.

Mrs. Holm was born March 31, 1894, at Bradshaw, York County, Neb., the daughter of Joseph and Clara Robertson Long. She married Earl E. Holm Dec. 24, 1913, in York, Neb.

She was a homemaker. She and her husband farmed south of Fairfield. She lived in the Fairfield community until her husbands's death. She moved to Birmingham in 1973 and had been a resident of Good Samaritan Center for the past six years.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include one son, Harley E. Holm of Stockport; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lewis Long.
