Miss Hattie Humphryes died in Carson City, Nev., June 12, 1901, aged thirty-four years. She was born in Dayton, Lyon County, Nev., and there her childhood was spent. Upon her arrival at womanhood she became engaged to the profession of school-teaching and was quite successful in this pursuit for two years when she removed to Franktown and occupied a position as telegrapher, faithfully discharging her duties in the Western Union Telegraph office for twelve years.
The funeral occurred from the family residence Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Robert L. Macfarlane.
This young lady was a niece of our townsman, H. V. Humphryes, and her death as consistently as our knowledge of the circumstances then afforded, was published in last week's issue of RECORD.
