Edna Irene Wolfe Cochran

Edna Irene Wolfe Cochran, 79, of Memphis, Mo., died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at Scotland County Care Center in Memphis.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Burial wil be in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling.

Open visitation will began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will be present 7-8 p.m.

Memorials to Sterling Visions of Mount Sterling may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at Route 3, Box 155, Memphis, MO 63555.

Mrs. Cochran was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Mount Sterling, the daughter of William C. "Willie" and Willie M. Wolf Wolfe. She married John V. Cochran Dec. 22, 1941, in Memphis. He died Oct. 15, 1987.

Mrs. Cochran lived most of her live in the Mount Sterling area, but moved to Memphis in 1988 to be near her children. She had lived in the care center since Feb. 18, 2003.

Survivors include five sons, Lonnie Cochran and wife Michalene, David Cochran and wife Linda, Emmett Cochran and wife Mary, all of Memphis, Jimmy Cochran and wife Marty of Hutchison, Kan., and Michael Cochran and wife Joy of Rutledge, Mo.; one daughter, Beth Cochran of San Francisco, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Roger William Cochran; one daughter, Sandra Kay Cochran; one brother, Verl Wolfe; and one sister, Jean Creek.
