James Barker, who has lived in the vicinity of Mt. Zion for many years, died last Saturday at the home of his daughter. Mrs. W.C. Winslow at Keosauqua, after an illness of several months. He is survived by four sons and two daughters: Robert of Keosauqua, Joe and Mason, Arizona, Arthur and John of near Mr.(Mt.) Zion; Mrs. Winslow of Keosauqua, and Mrs. John Nelson near Mt. Zion. The funeral was held tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, interment in Miller Chapel cemetery.
