Cackley, 1885--Jan. 27, at the residence of her son-in-law, Lewis Myers, Mrs. Frances Cackley, aged 88 yrs. 9 mo. 22 da., burial in Thompson Cemetery, Bonaparte. Deceased was a native of Virginia, came to Ohio in 1835, where her husband died in 1843, moved to Iowa in 1851. Was a member of the M.E. Church. She was the mother of 12 children, 4 of whom survive her. She had 32 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, in all 37 descendents. Her funeral took place Thursday, Jan. 29, Rev. James Welch conducting the services.

Notes on Frances Cackley: She was born Frances McKeever in Virginia, and married Benjamin Cackley in Bath County, VA in 1818. She lived with her daughter, Mary Myers when she passed away.
