TINA V. EWING

Tina Violet Ewing, daughter of Noah and Amy McCracken Ward, was born November 24, 1909, in Oklahoma and departed this Monday, May 5, 1975, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua at the age of 65.

On April 16, 1934, she married Max Ewing at Birmingham. They lived their married life in the Mt. Zion and Keosauqua communities. Mr. Ewing died in 1963. A brother also preceded her in death. She had recently lived in Montrose.

Remaining to cherish her memory are a daughter, Mrs. Myrna McCarty of Montrose, a son, Melvin Ewing of East Moline, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Karl Willits of Bonaparte and Mrs. Hazel McIntosh of Keosauqua, a brother, Alva Ward of Bonaparte, five grandchildren two great-grandchildren. For a number of years Tina was employed at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

She was a long-time member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church and its Ladies Aid Society and a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 7, 1975 at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Harold Schnedler, pastor officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery at Keosauqua with arrangements in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home.
