Mrs. Miles Dow
Grace Irene Dow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Greenfield, was born Sept. 22, 1897, near Birmingham, Iowa, and passed away Aug. 9, 1924, at the Jefferson county hospital. She spent most of life in the vicinity of Birmingham.
On Dec. 5, 1915, she was united in marriage to Clifford Way of Fairfield, Iowa, who died in the service of his country May 9, 1918. She was united in marriage to Miles Dow of Stockport, Iowa, January 3, 1923.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, father, mother, two sisters, Mrs. Lillie McKee and Edith Burden of Birmingham and two brothers, Chas. E. of Birmingham and Neal E. of Omaha, Nebr.
Grace united with the Seventh Day Adventist church in the fall of 1920, remaining faithful to the end.
She was a loving daughter, a kind an[sic] faithful wife and loved by all who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of her parents by Elder A. L. Miller of Osceola, Iowa. Interment was made in the Evergreen at Fairfield.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Mrs. Miles Dow, better known as Grace Greenfield, who has been seriously ill in the Jefferson county hospital for a number of weeks passed away on Saturday, August 9th, about noon. She was quite ill from the first, but at times there would be a ray of hope, soon to be followed by complications that sapped her strength. She leaves a young husband, father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Lillie McKee and Mrs. Edith Burden of Birmingham; two brothers, Neal Greenfield of Omaha, Neb. and Chas. Greenfield of Birmingham.
