MRS. VICTOR ANDERSON
Nancy Victoria, daughter of Thomas and Racheal[sic] Lawson was born near Nashville, Tenn., Dec. 16, 1860 and passed away at her home in Birmingham, Iowa, Nov. 6, 1941, age 80 years, 10 months and 21 days. She moved with her parents to Iowa in 1875 where she spent the remainder of her life.
She was united in marriage to Victor Anderson, Dec. 9, 1879. To this union were born nine daughter and one son, Mrs. Elnora Glotfelty, Fairfield, Iowa, Miss Carrie Anderson and Mrs. Myrtle Johnston, Birmingham, Iowa, Mrs. Ethel Nylander, Marshalltown, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Goldman, Mrs. Golde Rail and Mrs. Edith Heady, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Mabel Loveless, Washington, Iowa, and Dewey Anderson, Burlington, Iowa all surviving her. One daughter Mrs. Ada Johnston preceded her in death.
Her husband Victor Anderson departed from this life August 22, 1908.
Eighteen living grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bradford, Ottumwa, Iowa, Mrs. Martha Wolf, Los Angeles, Calif., and several nieces and nephews survive her. One grandchild and one great grandchild preceded her in death.
She united with the Church of the Brethren in October 1886, to which she remained faithful to the end.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Birmingham, Iowa, Sunday afternoon Nov. 9th, at 1:30 o’clock, in charge of Rev. James of Fairfield, Iowa, assisted by Rev. Richards of Birmingham. Interment was made at the Fell cemetery at Libertyville, Iowa.
