Mrs. White, 69, Taken In Death

Mrs. Effie Mae White, 69, 603 1/2 W. Washington, died Monday at the Mennonite Hospital in Beatrice, Neb.

Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned C. Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.

Mrs. White was born April 26, 1903 at Stockport, the daughter of Frank and Sarah Ankrom DeWitt. She was married to William White, who preceded her in death in 1949.

Mrs. White was employed as a practical nurse for many years. She was a member of the Christian Church, a past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary No. 47.

Surviving are two children: Mrs. Bernard Teeter, Beatrice, Neb.; and Richard M. White, San Diego, Calif.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and the following brothers and sister: Harry DeWitt, Ottumwa; Edwin DeWitt, Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Edna Flack, Waterloo. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
