A Tribute To Elmer Eugene Carr
By wife Nora Carr

Sorrow touched the hearts and saddened friends when it became known that Elmer Eugene Carr had parted from his nearest and dearest friends and had gone the long way home. On the eve of Feb. 24th he passed thru the gently opened door that guards the mystery of Eternity. No one heard the door open nor close, but somewhere, somehow, someone steadied his footsteps and guided him thru the open portal, he was gone from this world but his closed eyes were opened upon the wonders of a new world, the beauty of a new world, the beauty of a new sunrise and of a new life of which there would be no pain.

For two years Mr. Carr made a gallant fight for life to stay with ones he loved and to enjoy the blessings of work well done, but he had given too much of himself to serve those of the community in which he practiced his profession. As a pharmacist he ranked among the highest. He had a well-trained mind and always expressed his desire to be a "Thinker" for in his heart was the spirit of abiding faith for higher things.

He loved nature, the Bible, good books and music and any entertainment that was worthwhile.

He served in his profession for over 60 years, always alert and active in things about him.

A good and great life is ended but his love for fellow man still lingers and his memory will be treasured by his friends.
