RUTH SLONAKER

Ruth Slonaker, 86, formerly of Milton died at 12:10 on January 12, 1979 at the Good Samaritan Center in Ottumwa.

She was born November 17, 1892 in Milton to Samuel and Mary Pennington McCombs. She had lived in Ottumwa since 1950. She married Homer Slonaker July 9, 1910. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Percy of Birmingham, and four daughters: Frances McLeland, Evelyn Wilkinson, Mary Pauline Salter all of Ottumwa and Elizabeth Powell of Cantril, 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Baptist Temple officiating. Burial was in Shaul Cemetery. The pallbearers were grandsons.
