Mrs. Edward Nelson

DOUDS. - Mrs. Alta Denning Nelson, 92, a former Douds resident, died Aug. 4 after an extended illness at Manhattan, Kan. The casket was to be taken today to Guyman, Okla., for burial in the family plot.

Born Nov. 27, 1871, she was the daughter of Jonathan and Sarah Bell Denning. She was married Dec. 3, 1915, to Edward Nelson of Douds, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, one son, a sister, Mrs. Effie Schaffer of Douds, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Iro Glover of Ottumwa. Preceding her in death besides her husband were a daughter, three brothers and four sisters.
