MRS. GILBERT GREEN

Mrs. Gilbert Green, a sister of Mrs. W. a. Crandall, of Milton, passed away at her home south of Leando on January 29, the funeral services being held at the home, Sunday, Feb. 1. Mrs. Green was 58 years of age. She had lived in Chequest township since 1878. She was the fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenner Smith.

Other surviving relatives are the husband; two other sisters, Mrs. T. I. Nicklin, of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Howard Baird, of Douds; and three brothers, V. V., John, and Dell Smith, all of Douds.
