William Mohler.

The subject of this memoir was born in Van Buren county, Iowa, June 12, 1855, and died at his home in Vernon July 31, 1906. He was united in marriage to Miss Mary Robb April 2, 1878, and to this union was born one son, Harley, who is a resident of Galesburg Illinois.

He leaves to mourn their loss a devoted wife, a loving son, and a darling granddaughter, Mildred, who was the pride of her grandpa's heart. There are also an aged father and mother and one brother and a host of friends.

William spent his boyhood days near the old home where he was born and raised until the year 1884 when with his wife and son he moved to Kansas where he remained one year, returning to the old home in Iowa.

Then, again, in 1896 he with his family moved to San Mateo, California, where he remained three years, again returning to Iowa and locating in Vernon where he has since resided.

His life was of singular purity, and usefulness. He was everbodys [sic] friend, always had a kind word for young and old. We doubt if he had an enemy in the world.

By the parents, brother, and family he will be sadly missed. We feel that earthly sympathy cannot heal their wounds, but God alone can comfort.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Rev. Wilkin of Farmington officiating.
