Mrs. Martha E. Downing Passed Away
Monday. Funeral Held Wednesday.

Mrs. Martha E. Downing, of Troy, passed away Monday afternoon at 5 o’clock, following an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock, at the M. E. church in Troy. Burial will be made in Troy cemetery.

Deceased was born in Preston county, West Virginia, January 1, 1840, and was 85 years old. She was the mother of five children, one preceding the mother in death.
