DEATH OF PIONEER LADY

Mrs. Cal McClure of Ohio Township passed away at noon Monday in Larned. - Burial in Fairview Cemetery yesterday.

Mrs. Cal McClure, a pioneer lady of Ohio Township, passed away at noon Monday in Larned. The remains were brought to St John Monday night and were held here until yesterday forenoon at ten o'clock when the funeral was conducted at the grave in Fairview Cemetery by Elder Sol Van Lieu. Mrs. McClure had been in poor health for many years.

OBITUARY

Angeline Elizabeth Van Stenburgh, daughter of E.C, and E.C. Van Stenburgh, was born September 19, 1855 in Van Buren County Iowa.

She was married to Calvin McClure in Davis County, in the year 1877. With their baby, Oscar, Mr. and Mrs. Cal McClure came to Stafford County, Kansas in 1878 locating in Ohio Township about five or six miles southeast of St John, where she and her husband have since resided.

To Mr. and Mrs. McClure one son Oscar was born. He has been a resident of Stevens County, Kansas for nineteen years, arriving here Tuesday night to attend the funeral of his mother. Mrs. McClure is also survived by her husband and by an adopted daughter, Mrs. George Malone of Springfield, Colorado.

I am related to this family by marriage.
